Babington, Owner of Clarion Rehab) Clarion Rehab Services and CHAMP (Clarion Hospital Athletic Medicine Program) are pleased to announce Natalie Bowser as January’s Student-Athlete of the Month. Natalie is a senior at Keystone High School where she participates in volleyball, basketball and softball. She also is a member of the SPARK and Yearbook clubs at school. Her favorite sports memory is the basketball game this year where she scored both her 1000 career points and 1000 career rebounds on the same day. The most inspiring person in her life is her dad. She states, “He has always been supportive of everything that she does and has always been there through all the tough times in her life. He has been so strong through it all.” Natalie’s future plans are to attend an undecided college to obtain a bachelor's degree in business. She also hopes to play softball at the collegiate level. Clarion Rehab Services and CHAMP (Clarion Hospital Athletic Medicine Program) are pleased to announce Aiden Hartle as December’s Student-Athlete of the Month.
Aiden is a senior at North Clarion High School and is a member of the basketball team. He also participates in baseball in the spring. In his free time, he likes to go fishing, hunting and lift weights. His favorite sports memory is playing in the KSAC Championship game for the North Clarion basketball team at Tippin Gym last year. The most inspiring people in his life are his parents. He is thankful for them taking him to all his athletic activities and always being his biggest supporters. Aiden’s future plans include attending PennWest Clarion to major in Business Management and will continue his collegiate athletic career with the baseball team. Lubas, Clarion-Limestone’s Athletic Trainer) Clarion Rehab Services and CHAMP (Clarion Hospital Athletic Medicine Program) are pleased to announce Ryan Hummell and Kendall Dunn as October’s Co-Student Athletes of the Month. Ryan is a senior at Clarion-Limestone High School where he has been a member of the Wildcat football team, basketball, track and field and baseball teams. Last year, he won 4th place at the PIAA State T&F Championships in javelin. In his free time, he works for M&B Services, hangs out with friends and family, lifts and plays sports. His favorite sports memories are the bus rides with his teammates to all the away games and going to states in track. The most inspiring people in his life are his Grandpa Myers and his brother Riley, who have helped him out and been there for him for everything. They have taught him many life lessons. Ryan’s future plans are to attend trade school to become an electrician. Kendall is also a senior at Clarion-Limestone High School where she has been a member of the volleyball, basketball and softball teams. She is also the President of the senior class, Treasurer of Student-Council and Co-President of National Honors Society. In her free time, she likes spending time with friends and hunting. Her favorite sports memory is playing in the D9 Championship games for both softball and basketball and moving on to the state playoffs. The most inspiring people in her life are her parents who are her number one supporters in everything she does as well as Sarah Meals who is always there to show her support. Kendall’s future plans are to attend Pitt-Bradford to become a physical therapist as well as continue her athletic career playing volleyball. Clarion Rehab Services and CHAMP (Clarion Hospital Athletic Medicine Program) are pleased to announce Kyle Nellis as September’s Student-Athlete of the Month. Kyle is a senior at Keystone High School where he is a member of the football, basketball and the track and field teams. In his free time he enjoys lifting, hunting, fishing, skiing, spending time with friends and going camping. He also works at Wolf's Camping Resort. His favorite sports memory is scoring a touchdown at the end of the fourth quarter against Brookville to help set up his team to win the game this season. According to Kyle, the most inspiring people in his life include his dad and his grandpa Bob. Kyle’s future plans include entering into the trades or finding an apprenticeship. Keystone’s Athletic Trainer; Bret Wingard; Jordan Best; Steve Seifert, Clarion Area’s Athletic Trainer; Seth Babington, Owner of Clarion Rehab) Clarion Rehabilitation Services and CHAMP(Clarion Hospital Athletic Medicine Program) would like to announce their 2021-2022 Co-Student Athletes of the Year as Bret Wingard and Jordan Best. Bret is a recent graduate of Keystone High School where he participated in football, basketball and track. He was also a member of the National Honors Society, SPARK Club, Trap Shooting Club, and Basketball Club. Bret’s future plans are to attend the University of Mount Union to major in electrical engineering as well as be a member of their track and field team. Jordan graduated from Clarion Area High School this year where she participated in volleyball, basketball and softball. While at Clarion, she also was a member of National Honors Society, Student Council, Yearbook Staff and StandTogether. Jordan’s future plans are to attend Gannon University majoring in Applied Exercise Science in hopes of becoming a physical therapist. She also plans to participate on the softball team while at Gannon. Clarion Rehab’s owner Seth Babington states, “Both of these young adults are hard working, dedicated and successful. They are going to go on to do great things professionally and for their communities.” CHAMP and Clarion Rehab Services would like to congratulate our two recipients. Both student-athletes received a $250 scholarship presented by Clarion Rehab as well as gift certificates from Sweet Basil and Daddy’s Main Street. of Clarion Rehab) Clarion Rehab Services and CHAMP (Clarion Hospital Athletic Medicine Program) are pleased to announce Seth Apel as April’s Student-Athlete of the Month. Seth is a senior at Keystone High School where he participates in baseball and soccer. Outside of school he works for his dad’s cabinetry business (Apel Woodwork), plays softball and attends youth group at his church. He enjoys numerous activities in his free time including hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends, eating and joking around with his physical therapist. His favorite sports memory is joking with his teammates when they ask about his arm injury. He is constantly explaining to them that he doesn’t have much use of his right arm but they continue to ask a series of questions even though they have known him and his situation. The most inspiring people in Seth's life are his parents. Seth is currently enrolled in a course through the National Deer Association to become a certified quality deer management specialist. His future plans are to start his own business called Trinity Whitetails in which he educates outdoorsmen on how to improve their conservation and wildlife management strategies. Jameson is a sophomore at Clarion Area High School. He has achieved the honor roll every quarter, and he participates in soccer, basketball, track & field, Eagle Scouts, and youth group at his church. Jameson suffered a complete ACL tear on September 13, 2021 and had surgery on December 3rd. He performed his rehabilitation at Clarion Rehab Services and really stood out with his hard work, dedication and diligence. His team consistently commented on how well he conducted himself during the rehab process. He states that the most inspiring people in his life are his parents and his brother because they are so supportive of his interests and activities. Jameson's future plans are to attend college and continue to participate in sports. Clarion Rehab Services and CHAMP (Clarion Hospital Athletic Medicine Program) are pleased to announce Jordan Best as February’s Student-Athlete of the Month. Jordan is a senior at Clarion Area High School. She has participated in volleyball, basketball, and softball throughout her athletic career. She is also a member of National Honors Society, Student Council, Yearbook Staff, StandTogether and is the Vice President of the Senior Class. In her free time she is a member of the Pittsburgh Power Softball team, babysits and umpires. She also enjoys exercising, going to the gym, reading, knitting and taking naps. Her favorite sports memory is winning back-to-back State Championships with the Clarion Area volleyball team. She loves being an athlete and cherishes all the memories of playing sports. She states, “I wouldn’t trade it for the world.” The most inspiring people in her life are her parents. “I look up to them and love them both so much. They work so hard to give my sisters and I the best life. I hope to be like them some day.” Jordan’s future plans are to attend Gannon University to play softball and major in Applied Exercise Science in hopes of becoming a physical therapist. Bryson is a senior at Clarion-Limestone High School. He has participated in basketball and baseball as well as been a member of the Science Olympiad team. He enjoys hanging out with the boys and playing video games in his free time, especially Fortnite. His favorite sports memories are Hayden Callen throwing his socks out the bus window and winning two KSAC Championships with the Clarion-Limestone baseball team. The most inspiring people in his life are his parents. He states, “They are always there to support me and push me to become better in anything I do.” Bryson’s future plans are to attend St. Bonaventure University to play baseball and major in business. Tori is a senior at Clarion-Limestone High School where she participates in volleyball, cheerleading, track & field, dance team, sensations choir, and band. She is also a member of the Future Teachers of America club, Tri-M Music Honors Society, National Honors Society, Red Cross Club and Student Council. During her free time she enjoys crafting and cooking. Her favorite sports memories are winning the volleyball playoff game at Johnsonburg this year and making the State Cheer Competition last season. The most inspiring people in her life are her parents who support her in everything that she does and her aunt Donna, who was her best friend and taught her the important things in life. “Aunt Donna was a very strong woman, even when fighting cancer, and I strive to be as strong as her.” Tori’s future plans are to attend college to become an oncology nurse.
